Over $18M has been invested in MAC-MI Nearly $10M has been invested in MAC-AR Phase IV will achieve its objective of producing 180,000 tpy of MACPLUS premium Turned and Polished Engineered Steel Bars. Automatic bar end chamfering will be installed. Forester Circograph surface inspection equipment will be installed to 100% verify the surface quality as Defect Free. MAC-AR has installed a new heat treat furnace that will be capable of solution heat treatment of 52100 steels, to dissolve carbides and spherodize annealing. Gerdau MACSTEEL will also increase our bar straightening capability with two additional bar straighteners. The Heat Treat Division will add another Induction Quench and Temper Line while nearly doubling factory space. NitroSteel will add grinding capabilities.
